LLP members: removing your address from Companies House
An LLP member's address can sit on the public Companies House register just like a company director's. Members can apply on the same SR01 form, using the LLP versions of the filings.

If you're a member of a limited liability partnership, your details are on the register too, and an old filing can still show your home address. You apply to remove it on the same SR01 form that directors use, at £34 per document.
GOV.UK says that on the SR01 page, "company" also means limited liability partnerships. There's no separate LLP form. What does change is the list of filings, because LLPs have their own form codes.
Which LLP filings carry a member's personal details?
LLP filings use an "LL" prefix. The GOV.UK list of documents Companies House can suppress includes several that apply to members, and each one is listed with business type "Limited liability partnerships".
Here are the LLP forms next to the company filings people usually compare them with. The codes below are as GOV.UK writes them.
| LLP form | Company equivalent | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| LL IN01 | IN01 | Registers the LLP |
| LL AP01 | AP01 | Appoints a member |
| LL CH01 | CH01 | Changes a member's details |
| LL AR01 | AR01 | Annual return (older LLPs) |
| LL AD01 | AD01 | Changes the registered office |
| LLP288a, LLP288c | 288a, 288c | Older member appointments and changes |
You'll sometimes see these written without the space, as LLAP01 or LLIN01. Same forms. GOV.UK uses the spaced version, so that's what we use here.
Corporate members use LL AP02 and LL CH02. Those are for a company or other legal entity acting as a member, so they're mainly relevant when you're an individual named inside one.
What can be removed from each LLP form?
This is the verified detail per form, taken from the GOV.UK list. "Blank" on the list means GOV.UK hasn't marked day of birth for that form, so we've treated it as not listed.
Personal details the GOV.UK suppression list marks for LLP filings
| Address | Signature | Day of birth | Occupation | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| LL IN01Incorporation | ✓Yes | ✓Yes | Not listed | ✗No |
| LL AP01Appoint a member | ✓Yes | ✓Yes | Not listed | ✗No |
| LL CH01Change of member details | ✓Yes | ✓Yes | Not listed | ✗No |
| LL AR01Annual return | ✓Yes | ✓Yes | Not listed | ✗No |
| LLP288aOlder appointment | ✓Yes | ✓Yes | ✓Yes | ✗No |
| LLP288cOlder change of details | ✓Yes | ✓Yes | ✓Yes | ✗No |
| LL AD01Registered office change | ✓Yes | ✓Yes | Not listed | ✗No |
Two things stand out. Occupation is marked "No" on every LLP row, so unlike company filings there's nothing to remove there. And the day of birth is only marked for the older LLP288a and LLP288c forms, which fits with the rule that the day (not the month and year) can only come off documents filed before 10 October 2015.
The list gives examples and isn't exhaustive, and Companies House decides each application. If you'd like the wider picture on who can apply and what's removable, our SR01 form explained guide covers it.
Service address vs residential address for members
LLP members follow the same split as directors. When you're appointed on an LL AP01, you give a service address, which appears on the public record, and a usual residential address, which is requested separately.
The service address can be the LLP's registered office. Companies House's own form guidance lets you write "The LLP's Registered Office" in that box. That's fine for most professional firms, since the office is usually the firm's premises.
The trouble starts when a member used their home for both. A property LLP run from a spare room is a common one. The home then goes on the public record as the member's service address, and maybe as the registered office too. For the director side of that split, see our guide to director service addresses.
Do designated members need anything extra?
No separate route. A designated member is still a member, and the suppression list has one "Members" entry per LLP form. Designated members are the ones with extra duties, such as filing on the LLP's behalf, but that doesn't change what happens to an address on an old filing.
The practical point is that a designated member often signed the LLP's incorporation and annual returns, so their address and signature tend to appear on more documents. That makes the number of documents worth counting before you start.
How to remove your address from an LLP filing
- 01Find the filingsLook through the LLP's filing history, or [run the free scan](/#scan) and we'll read every filing from 2003 onwards for your details.

Our how to complete the SR01 walkthrough takes you through each part of the form. If the home is also still on the register as a registered office or service address, we can set up a registered office and service address for you as part of your application. The full process is on our page about removing your home address from Companies House.

Questions
Can LLP members use form SR01?
Yes. GOV.UK says that any reference to 'company' on the SR01 page also applies to limited liability partnerships. There's no separate LLP version of the form, and the fee is the same £34 for each document listed.
Is a designated member treated differently from an ordinary member?
Not on the suppression list. It has one 'Members' entry for each LLP form and doesn't split out designated members. Both give the same kind of address details when they're appointed, so the same removal route applies.
Does Companies House show an LLP member's home address?
Not for a current LLP member filing, unless the member chose their home as their service address. The usual residential address is requested separately and kept off the public record. Older LLP filings and any home used as the LLP's registered office are where home addresses tend to appear.
What's the LLP version of form AP01 and CH01?
They're LL AP01 (appoint a member) and LL CH01 (change details of a member). LL AP02 and LL CH02 are the corporate member versions. Companies House lists them all in its collection of forms for limited liability partnerships.
Can I remove my occupation from an LLP filing?
In most cases no. The suppression list marks occupation as 'No' for every LLP member filing it lists, so there's nothing to remove on that point. Your address and signature are the details the list marks as removable.
Do I need a replacement address if I'm still a member of the LLP?
Yes, if the home address is your current service address. GOV.UK says you only need to give one if you're a current serving officer. File an LL CH01 to change your service address on the register first, then apply to remove the old filings.
